I played baseball with JW for two years on the Manatee Adult Baseball League. JW was our lead off hitter and Centerfielder. We had a great bunch of guys that wanted to win, and we all came with Ego and Personality. But as the opposition hit balls into the outfield for what appeared to be game winning hits, calmly, quietly and consistently the Speedy JW would out run the ball and make the catch. He wasn't flashy or loud, (heaven knows we had enough of those) but he always supplied us with the glue to keep us together. Miss you, JW, you are da man!
