J W (pronounced "dub") as we called him on our Pirates men's baseball team in Bradenton was a basestealer extroidinaire. More importantly, I met him at a time in my life when I was living a "less than moral" lifestyle. JW never had a bad thing to say about anyone and was always a joy to be around. I pray I get to play ball with him again in heaven someday. I miss his easy smile, hardworking demeanor, but mostly his words of encouragement that helped me understand what I was missing. I am now a fully committed Christian due in part to watching him live his life. RIP JW
