John was a dear friend and had been so since 1987. He and I met when he was getting his MBA and I my law degree at Chapel Hill. I counted him as one of my dearest and best friends. Our lives crossed many times over the last 25 years. He lived next door to me in Craig Dorm at UNC-Chapel Hill. When my aunt threw my fiance and I a party I invited John. He has us laughing non-stop. He had this sort of grin when he said something real funny and then he would roll his eyes. Over the years he called me often and I him to share the ups and downs of our lives. In the past few years I called him every Saturday morning as I drove the 45 minutes to work. We talked about life. He will be missed dearly. You rarely have such friends in life as he was to me. Most importantly his was good, kind and decent man and this loss will be with me the rest of my life. Brian Harbour bhharbour@yahoo.com
